SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Logistics
Hybrid- in person 2-3 days a week in NYC -typically in office Tuesday and Wednesday, remote M/TH/FRI but additional in-person time may be required for client content shoots.

You Are Right For This Position If You...

  • Have 1+ years of experience working at a social media agency.

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Social Media, PR, Communications, or a related field.

  • Have a true passion for digital marketing and get excited about the idea of creating content that tells compelling stories for our clients.

  • Have experience managing accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok - a MUST.

  • Are able to write grammatically correct, pack a punch short form copy while maintaining multiple brand voices.

  • Are experienced with Canva and CapCut (Adobe is a plus) and have great aesthetic skills. You know how to lay out a beautiful Instagram grid and edit a scroll-stopping reel effortlessly.

  • Are comfortable in front of the camera (hello trends!)

  • Have paid social experience and/or are willing to learn.

  • Enjoy being detail-oriented and delivering content with zero spelling mistakes.

  • Can easily maintain brand guidelines while being innovative and creative.

  • You love to blaze the path for developing concepts and content calendars for different clients. You’re the driving force behind client results.

  • You don’t need much direction, micromanaging, or oversight. You THRIVE when given full work autonomy. You’re able to identify the needs of the company as a whole, you see where your talents fit, and you get👏to👏 work👏

Role Objective
Reporting to the (Account Director), The Social Media Manager at Media A La Carte ideates, plans, and executes high performing, quality first social media strategy for assigned clients. With a penchant for creative copy, exceptional aesthetics, and an unmatched desire to be part of a high performing team, the Social Media Manager is in the loop, aware, and detail driven.


Responsibilities
 

STRATEGIC CONTENT PLANNING

  • Launch, grow, and manage client social accounts by ensuring relevant milestones are set and met.

  • Fully own social and content strategy and editorial planning for all of assigned clients, simultaneously.

  • Project manage assigned client load and deliverables, including strategy, content calendars, copywriting, client meetings, managing the content creation process, and more.

  • Deliver error-free copywriting that is unique to each brand’s voice.

  • Plan and design an aesthetically pleasing Instagram grid in no time.

  • Navigate and leverage tech tools like Later, Google Drive, Slack, and ClickUp on a daily basis.

  • Stay fully up to date with what’s trending in the land of social media by consuming content regularly with intention (not just scrolling - but learning).

  • Use data and experimentation to optimize and report on performance across all platforms.

CLIENT SERVICES AND EXECUTION

  • Advocate for client needs with internal team functions in order to deliver highest quality content.

  • Respond to client emails and communications in a way that makes each of your clients feel like they’re the only ones on your roster.

  • Work on multiple client projects.

  • Meet all assigned deadlines, without exception.

  • Manage your time well, and can create plans to be successful in your work.

TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION

  • Analyze social media data to track performance. If a client comes to you with a concern, you have data to back up your answer and a PLAN to test new strategies going forward.

  • Assist on strategy and copywriting for internal marketing of both the Media A La Carte and Studio A La Carte brands.

  • Respond to emails and Slacks within 15 minutes during 9-6pm on weekdays.

  • Keep the team up to date on macro and micro social media trends (Are you seeing a macro shift to content with heavy text overlay? You can’t wait to let the team know.)

  • Responsibly track all tasks and time through approved software systems.

  • Participate in team meetings and complete ongoing training to continue leveling up your digital marketing prowess.

 

Pay

This position offers a salary starting at $50k/year.

CREATIVE AND COMMUNITY ASSISTANT

Logistics
Hybrid- in person 2-3 days a week in NYC for client content shoots + related responsibilities
Part Time starting at $20/hr



Role Objective
The Creative and Community Assistant at Media A La Carte provides content shoot assistance, executes daily/weekly outbound engagement, and assists with ad hoc production and agency projects. With a go-getter attitude, the Creative and Community Assistant is a vital part to the success of the team as a whole. 


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Content Production department by managing props from budgets, deliveries/returns, inventory, etc; developing creative decks and shot lists; and on-set assistance.

  • Execute community management for Media A La Carte clients through answering DMs/comments and outbound engagement.

  • Trend forecast to create the weekly/biweekly offerings of the Content Calendar Club and schedule email delivery.

  • Edit photos and videos according to provided shot list and/or concept within the company Evoto and CapCut accounts, utilizing appropriate client fonts and colors and applying internal and external edits until approved.
